OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
We provide information, referral, advocacy and capacity building services to refugees and their families, very vulnerable migrants, international student, and others who present complex cases and extreme poverty. Our services are focussed on early intervention and prevention, an ambition to shift our service portfolio towards early intervention programs to improve the trajectories of the people that we serve
We conduct a very thorough assessment of the needs and unique circumstances of distressed and most vulnerable people. We develop Individual Service Plan (ISP) for each client. The plan includes access to the most appropriate services.
Information and Referral services
We map the services that might be available for our clients. We provide a comprehensive information to our clients that enables them to have choice of and access to culturally appropriate services.
We refer clients to the most appropriate service. When deciding the service to which clients and their families can be referred, we consider the appropriateness and availability of the services. We have established referral protocols with community service providers to enhance access to services by clients and to ensure they are provided timely and effective services.
Advocacy Services
We recognise that the people We communicate clearly and with a purpose. We speak respectfully, courteously and courageously on behalf of those we serve. We use open dialogue and are self-aware, understanding how our behaviour affects others.
Capacity Building
We provide services that are aimed at building the capacity of our clients and their families to have agency. As an organising principle and process, we also implement community capacity building to build strong and cohesive communities for the benefit of all members in a community.
Service Descriptions
Our Foundation will provide information, referral, advocacy, capacity building and welfare services covering a range of tailored services to address persistent disadvantages and vulnerabilities of the target cohorts.
Education Support
The Foundation works with its partners to provide comprehensive support to refugees and highly disadvantaged migrants to facilitate access to educational opportunities. Our Foundation also delivers services to very vulnerable to international students on how to navigate through student support systems within the education and community service systems.
Employment
CAC Foundation will work with industry and employer groups to facilitate access to employment opportunities to its highly disadvantaged and most vulnerable clients’ cohorts. CAC continues to utilise labour market trends and patterns to provide tailored employment services to clients. Furthermore, the Foundation will work with the community sector to provide wrap around services for those who are facing multiple vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. The Foundation also assists refugees, highly disadvantaged migrants including very vulnerable international students to gain internship, cadetship, apprenticeship, traineeships, and placements.
Vocational Pathways
CAC foundation developed comprehensive and robust processes to be able to deliver vocational pathways to international students who are currently attending VET courses to access job placement opportunities and tertiary educational pathways. The Foundation will provide pre and post placements support services that is tailored to meet their needs and unique circumstances.
Family support
We provide family support services to highly disadvantaged and most vulnerable members of our society. Our services are aimed at building strong families that are the key foundations of our society.
Welfare Support
Our welfare support services are aimed at reducing poverty by encouraging participation and independence and enhancing our clients’ wellbeing. As well as helping people and families directly, the Foundation will also indirectly help by developing their support systems networks and infrastructure. The Foundation recognises that the wellbeing of clients of risk, protective and contextual factors. Our services will strengthen the protective factors our clients while diminishing their risk factors.
International Students services
Our Foundation is in a unique position to be able to provide comprehensive welfare support services to international students by providing
- sound advice on learning strategies.
- Navigating through challenging circumstances
- Dealing with issues relating to student and learning management system
- Advice on understanding of negative behaviour consequences.
- Performance coaching to have clear understanding of study expectations and responsibilities.
